Bela Farm
Artist Rochelle Rubinstein saved 99 acres of prime organic farmland from development. Over the past decade, under the name Bela Farm. Bela operates as both a working landscape and a cultural project, challenging extractive capitalist models while proposing alternative ways for landowners and farmers to share stewardship, labour, and value.
Located in Hillsburgh, Ontario, Bela Farm is a place where farmers, herbalists, artists, performers, architects, artisans, scholars, writers, political activists, and spiritual leaders develop creative responses to environmental crisis, sharing resources to form a unique, integrative farm.
